Mize CPAs names three new shareholders

Mize CPAs Inc. announces the promotions of Rachel Koger, CPA, Diane Junge, CPA, and Eric Merkey, CPA, to Shareholder.

Rachel Koger and Eric Merkey serve clients through the firm’s Mize Restaurant Group, providing accounting, tax, payroll, and consulting services to QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) and McDonald’s restaurant franchise owners nationwide. Rachel Koger, CPA, joined the firm in 2012 as a staff accountant and was quickly promoted to become a relationship manager on the McDonald’s QSR team. Rachel works with McDonald’s franchise owners on tax, accounting, and business consulting challenges. In addition to working with seasoned franchisees, Rachel helps next-generation franchise owners become approved owner/operators and helps new owners navigate their first restaurant purchase. She was named Emerging Leader of the Year in 2017 by the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Eric Merkey, CPA, joined Mize in 2013 and has focused exclusively on working with McDonald’s franchise owners since joining the firm. Eric works closely with his clients in the areas of income tax planning, monthly accounting, and other strategic business consulting needs.

Diane Junge, CPA, focuses on helping business owners and high net worth individuals with tax planning and consulting with Mize CPAs Inc. Diane has experience in various industries, including retail, professional services, and real estate. She joined the firm in 1993 as a part-time tax accountant.
