Economic Impact Payment Deadline Looming

The Internal Revenue Service urges taxpayers to use the Get My Payment tool to provide direct deposit information to receive their Economic Impact Payment by noon on Wednesday, May 13. If your 2019 tax return has been e-filed and included direct deposit information for a federal refund, the IRS will direct deposit your stimulus payment into the same account.  Otherwise, you will need to provide your bank information on the IRS website in order to have your stimulus check direct deposited. Unless the information is received by this deadline, your payment may be one of the millions sent via check by the Bureau of Fiscal Services in late May and June.
